This has been a huge week for me pokerwise. Since my last post I have been playing a bunch of 50NL rush. To say things have been going well would be a vast understatement. Over the last week I have played a little over 8700 hands and have been running at over 13bb/100 hands, which comes to almost 600 dollars. That includes a big day yesterday in which I won over 5.5 buy ins in less than an hour (55BB/100 hands for ~1000 hands).
But that wasnt even close to the biggest news of the day. As I was signing on to FT I noticed that there was a super turbo registering in 10 minutes, I decided to register for the 8:10 tourney knowing that I was expected at a party at the gfs at 9. I thought it would be a quick thing and maybe a way to gain a few extra dollars. Well 9 o clock rolls around and Im in the top 10 with 55 people left. I figure, Ill just let myself get blinded down and take a profit of prolly 10-20 dollars. I head to the party and the guests we were expecting havent arrived, so I decide to make my way upstairs to the gf's room (on which I have already dl'ed FT) and log in.
Ive lost some chips but Im still really healthy. Long story short, I play really well and win pretty much all my flips and cruised to the final table (6 handed) as the chip leader. The guests had arrived, but there was no way I was gonna sit out at the final table. Things go well at the FT and I get a couple of KOs and keep my spot at the top end of the leaderboard.
Eventually it gets down to 3 people, the chip leader (155k), me (85k) and the shorty (38k) and I make my first really big suckout. Prior to that, I hadnt really sucked out much, I won some 60-40s but I dont think I won (since it never really arose) a hand in which I was dominated or had an underpair vs overpair. In the hand in question I called the shorty's shove with A9 and he woke up with A10. The board ran out 8 4 3, 4, 8 to chop an extremely crucial pot. A few hands later, after the big stack had chopped down the shorty, I took him out. At the beginning of HU I was at a 180k to 140k deficit. My opponent won a small pot and I was down to a 2-1 chip deficit. At that point, my opponent and I agreed to discuss a deal. We ended up agree to a deal that almost exactly matched the ICM numbers put forth by FT. Before the deal, the winner would get 1225 and 2nd got 870. We agreed to a deal giving my opponent 1100 and me just under 1000.
Needless to say Im extremely happy about the score. Its my biggest cash of my career and is a great way to end an already awesome week of poker. I ran extremely well winning tons of flips and getting big hands when I needed to.
Right now I have just over 3600 in my account, and even though I have over 70 buy ins to 50NL, Im going to continue at that level until I feel absolutely sure I can beat it over a large sample.
To make things even better, I got my scores for the LSAT I took last month and Im pretty happy about them. I was hoping for a little higher score, but I knew it would be very difficult to reach my ideal score. Overall though, Im very happy with my final score and I'm glad all that studying paid off.
Hopefully this great run of luck will keep going.
Good Luck everyone!

Bankroll milestone
Ive been playing alot of 50NL and its going really well. I think Ive been running way above expectation, but also making some good reads and overall playing pretty well. After being at only around 400 a little over a month ago I have finally reached the 2K mark bankroll wise. Im beginning to get more and more confident that I will be able to build my roll back up to its previous status but only time will tell. My plan is to keep playing 50NL until I get to 3K or maybe 3.5K, we'll see how confident I feel about my game.
In other news, Ive finalized the details of my spring break vacation for this year. Im headed down to Florida to visit my good friend boater2071 along with ferocious kitty. It should be an incredible trip and Im really excited, plus we should be able to fit in some live poker at Hard Rock so Im super excited about that.
Good luck at the tables!

Poker's going well for me (Some blog notes)
So Ive been thinking about this whole blog thing and I think one of the reasons I have been so adverse to posting is because I have come to expect from myself a huge blog post, which is not required. Its my blog, if I wanna make small posts, I can. So, in an effort to start blogging more, I think Im gonna be cutting down the size of my posts.
Since last posting, thngs have been going pretty well. I have gotten some nice scores in the 12 dollar 90 mans (2nd and 3rd, each for over 100 dollars). These tourneys are pretty soft but they have such fast structures that with 20 people left, they are just pushfests and require getting extremely lucky. I may continue to play them, but I dunno if I can run that well for so long.
Lastly, I finally took a shot at 50NL rush poker and it went great. I won 4 buy ins in 800 hands. I dont know what it is about rush but it makes people play so crazily, Ill take it though.
Good luck at the tables!
There, that one wasnt so long

Ridiculously long time no post
Here's a very short recap of the last 2 months since I last posted
-Over winter break I played a bunch of tournaments with my friends Ferocious Kitty and boater2071, overall they didnt really amount to a whole lot.
-Towards the end of break I happened to run like god in a super turbo and come in 4th of 1400 for 600 bucks bringing my roll up to about 1k.
-I goofed around at 25NL and lost about 4 buys ins, down to about 900
-I ran goot once again and cashed a super turbo for 140
-Rush poker was introduced and I won a whole bunch at 6max 25nl bringing my roll up to 1300
-I then proceeded to suck at rush poker and lost back down to 1000
-A nice score in a 8 dollar tournamnt nabbed me 181 bucks for 3rd of 180 and brought be up to 1200
-I recieved massive amounts of rake back, by my standards (77 bucks), and now sit a little less than 1270.
In the past few months I havent been playing as much poker as I normally have, which is due to a number of factors. First, my class schedule isnt as conducive to long grinding periods as my schedule of last semester. Last semester there would be huge blocks of time where I could get in a good 3-4 hours of cash in and call it a day, this semester its pretty rare. This is mainly because my schedule matches up pretty well with my gf's so most of my off time is spent with her, whereas last semester we had totally conflicting schedules which limited hang out time with the gf but made time for poker.
Secondly, I have the LSATs coming up on Saturday and I have been studying for them (especially recently) by doing a bunch of practice tests. Generally when it comes to tests I procrastinate alot, but when it is a test that is going to determine the rest of my life, I take it seriously.
Lastly, and probably most importantly, I am finding it hard to put my A-game into a poker session. I dont know what it is but it causes me to make stupid plays and generally ignore the instincts and knowledge that I have built up over the years. When I dont bring my A-game (or even B game), I tend to lose. And when I lose, I dont wanna play as much. And when I dont play as much I come into sessions rusty etc Its a vicious cycle that I am hoping I can get out of.
I hope to be blogging more often after the LSATs, though I said the same thing two months ago so we'll see.
Good Luck at the tables!!
